The End
I do believe the blog has run its course. It is 2 years old today and after 458 posts I think it's time to stop.
The blog started because I wanted to see how a blog worked. What I didn't know at the time was how much I would enjoy it, how much I would learn, or how many smart, interesting, weird, and funny people I would meet.
That said the ink well has gone dry and there is no point in continuing.
My trading has found a path that I will continue on, and while my business looks good right now I remain cognisant that markets change and so must I.
I want to thank all who contributed to the blog and you can be sure that I will continue my daily perusal of your musings.
I wish all of you the very best in your trading and your life.
Solfest

Later dude.
:-)
Btw, Nickelback is my favorite band. Ipod is loaded full of their tunes.
Once again, good luck and God Bless you Sol.
Thanks DT, I'll be around.
Moo.
(thanks for all the good posts) :)
Enjoyed your stuff - thanks.
Take good care of your cat/otter...thing (will we ever know for sure what that is/was?).
See you around the blogosphere.

Don't erase the blog...
:-)
Thank you Solfest
YW, MVW and AT, thank you for your contributions.
TST I'm not deleting the blog. It's good to look back and see where you were, compare to where you are, and see if you have made any progress in this business.
maybe we'll meet in the future solfest...in the pits of crude. Have a good one.
Even your 'The End' post was more eloquent than mine!
I'll miss your unique angle on trading, although not those three ridiculous squiggly lines ;-)
Never mind me DT is confused about luck and probabilities.
He needs you immediately.
Is it too much to ask that ALL my trades run 30-40 ticks within seconds of my entry and never, ever reverse and seek my stop loss? Is it?!?!
That's it DT let it all out.
It has not been lost on me that both you and L&W stopped blogging at the same time. Coincidence? I think not.
We were assimilated, resistance was futile.
DT,
The blogosphere is a mysterious place where anything can happen...and most of it is really weird. ;)

I'm not going to say good bye because I don't believe this is the end.
There is never reason to end something like this. You can stop posting regularly and come up here from time to time even if it's months in between. Just check Globetrader blog and you will see what I'm talking about. When you come to say something we will be here to read and comment. Trading is a lonely business and we need sometime to clear our head, and who can understand you better...
i just found the blog last week. it not fair that it ends as soon as I join the ranks.... :-(
What can I say EB. Start back on March 24, 2008 and read one post a day for 458 days.
Then let me know if you still want me to continue. :)
i wanted to say the same with EB. not fair. Solfest, DT (in maintenance), LW, are you guys heading somewhere together??
mind if I add you to my blogroll? i'll join EB and spend one post a day for 458 days and hopefully you'll be back by then.
Black.
We all went to Singapore to feed Jules cats.
I find myself suffering a little blogging withdrawal.
As in you must watch this.

I'll be quiet now.
HA HA HA
Blogging in comment section :))))
Why that's not blogging, it's commenting.
Ya, commenting.
Right?
Foul! This blog is closed. No commenting or future posts permitted.
Humbug!
Hey Solfest -- If memory serves me this isn't the first time you called it quits (on blogging), and hopefully it won't be the last either. Maybe you're the Michael Jordan of blogging .... you just keep coming back for another season??
Cheers,
Rocky
I have no recollection of that event.
The Internet is not as good without you. You will be missed.

Thanks DJC.
A week or so ago I had intended to join the masses in berating you for making what is really a post here and calling it a "comment," however after watching the suggested mini-series, I now must thank you (as much as it pains me) for another brilliant piece of video.
Although I probably should have, I had no idea where the term "Shylock" or the word "bank" originated. I was amazed to find that there was a time when charging interest was a sin, and that the outcome of the Civil War (US) was greatly influenced by the inability of the South to obtain capital from England (and a certain family there). So thank you for a very educational and entertaining show.
I'm beginning to wonder though, as each of your recommendations seems to run longer than the one that preceded it (this was almost 4 hours), if there is some ulterior motive here...are you trying to get us hooked on high-quality, educational programming?

Well if your markets are anything like mine lately what else is there to do all day?
Glad you enjoyed it. :)
